Four athletes from the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa women\u2019s volleyball team<\/a> were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team on December 17, in recognition of their performance on the court and in the classroom.<\/p>\n

Seniors Tayli Ikenaga and Kate Lang, and sophomores Stella Adeyemi and Tali Hakas represented UH<\/abbr> on the Division I<\/abbr> list after helping the ‘Bows capture the Big West title and reach the NCAA<\/abbr> Tournament for the 31st consecutive season.<\/p>\n

Ikenaga started all 31 matches and was named Big West Libero of the Year and MVP<\/abbr> at the Big West Championship, leading the conference with 502 digs. Lang also started all 31 matches, earning Big West Setter of the Year and American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Pacific Region Honorable Mention after recording 1,314 assists.<\/p>\n

Adeyemi tallied 250 kills, and Hakas earned All-Big West Honorable Mention with 259 kills and 364 digs.<\/p>\n

The academic qualification for the Academic All-District teams is a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade-point average. Nominated student-athletes must have participated in at least 90% of the season’s games or started in 66% of the games.<\/p>\n
