University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa men\u2019s basketball<\/a> player Tanner Christensen has been named the Big West Men\u2019s Basketball Player of the Week. This is the first weekly honor for a UH<\/abbr> player this season and Christensen\u2019s first honor as a Rainbow Warrior.<\/p>\n

The center averaged 19.5 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 73.7% from the floor in a pair of wins over Pacific and Weber State. On November 17, he scored a team-high 25 points on 10-of-11 shooting in a 73-68 overtime victory over Weber State. Christensen sank his first nine shots of the contest, scored 20 points by halftime and hit the game-tying basket with six seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime.<\/p>\n

Christensen was named the Rainbow Classic Most Outstanding Player as UH<\/abbr> won its first Rainbow Classic championship in seven years. On the year, Christensen leads the team in scoring with 17.5 points per game and a .765 field goal percentage.<\/p>\n

The Rainbow Warriors (4-0) will host North Carolina on November 22. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m. at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.<\/p>\n
