To support local students as they make their post-high school plans, Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> P–20 Partnerships for Education<\/a> (Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> P–20) and GEAR UP Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> have expanded their schedule of college planning events across the state. All events are free and open to all high school students.<\/p>\n

Virtual Scholarship Workshops are scheduled for November 7 and November 21 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. They will feature panelists from the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> System, Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Community Foundation and Sallie Mae, who will discuss how Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> students, regardless of their family income, can access funds to pay for college, in addition to scholarship application and essay writing tips.<\/p>\n

The Native Hawaiian Scholarship ʻAha<\/span> Series begins November 15, at Kapiʻolani<\/span> Community College, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Additional in-person dates are scheduled in November and December at sites across Oʻahu<\/span>, as well as Kauaʻi<\/span>, Molokaʻi<\/span>, L\u0101naʻi<\/span>, Maui, and Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Island. Representatives from various Native Hawaiian scholarship organizations will be present at each event, and attendees will have the chance to win a $500 scholarship.<\/p>\n

Beginning January 15, 2025, FAFSA<\/abbr> completion webinars are scheduled on Wednesdays through March 12 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Attendees will hear from local financial aid and FAFSA<\/abbr> specialists to prepare to complete the form and to answer any questions.<\/p>\n
