For the second straight week, University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa goalkeeper Kennedy Justin earned Big West Defensive Player of the Week honors following a pair of shutouts at UC<\/abbr> San Diego and UC<\/abbr> Irvine.<\/p>\n

Justin has recorded five straight clean sheets, the longest shutout streak ever by a Rainbow Wahine keeper, and has given up just one goal in conference play. The redshirt freshman made seven saves in the October 10 1-0 win at UC<\/abbr> San Diego before adding three more saves to lead the \u2018Bows to a 0-0 draw at UC<\/abbr> Irvine on October 13.<\/p>\n

On the season, Justin ranks second in the conference goals against average at 1.079 and is second in the league with her five shutouts. The five shutouts also rank tied for fourth in a season in school history while already moving her into the UH<\/abbr> top 10 in career clean sheets.<\/p>\n

Justin is the first player in the conference this year to win defensive player of the week honors in back-to-back weeks and the first UH<\/abbr> player to do so since 2017 (Alexis Mata). She is also the first player since Mata in 2019 to earn multiple Big West Defensive Player of the Week honors in a season.<\/p>\n

The Rainbow Wahine will return home and put their 5-0-1 conference record on the line against UC<\/abbr> Riverside on October 20 at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n
