University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa quarterback Brayden Schager, linebacker Jamih Otis and return specialist Tylan Hines received Mountain West Player of the Week honors following the 35-14 season-opening victory over Delaware State.<\/p>\n

All three players helped UH<\/abbr> win its first season-opener since 2020. The Rainbow Warriors scored the final 21 points in the game to extend their win streak over an Football Championship Subdivision opponent to 21 straight.<\/p>\n

Schager passed for two touchdowns and rushed for two more, which was the seventh time a UH<\/abbr> quarterback accomplished the feat since 2000. Hines’ 44-yard punt return for a touchdown was UH<\/abbr>\u2019s first in 12 years while Otis led the team with a career-high 11 tackles in his first career start at middle linebacker.<\/p>\n
