Franco Salmoiraghi, Above Hiʻilawe<\/span> Falls, 1974, Silver Gelatin Print<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Gallery ʻIolani<\/span> at Windward Community College presents The OG<\/abbr>s: Photographers of the Silver Gelatin Process, an exhibition showcasing the works of 11 influential Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> photographers. These artists have mastered the silver gelatin process, using it to create compelling artistic records that tell the stories of Â鶹´«Ã½\u2019s<\/span> people and history over the past 50 years.<\/p>\n

“The OG<\/abbr> show is about honoring the ‘real film photographers’ of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> that have been committed to telling the stories of Â鶹´«Ã½ʻs<\/span> land and people through photo essays,” said Kapulani Landgraf, Gallery ʻIolani<\/span> director and professor of art. “Some of these OG<\/abbr>s were the teachers to many photography students here in Â鶹´«Ã½.<\/span> For me, this is about coming full circle; I started as a photography student at Windward CC<\/abbr> learning from Mark Hamasaki, and now I\u2019m back teaching.”<\/p>\n
