University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Hilo golfers<\/a> Nicholas Gomez, Junsu Im, Jordan Sato and Jacob Torres earned Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar recognition for averaging under 78.0 and achieving a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher.<\/p>\n

The four Vulcans were among 226 NCAA<\/abbr> Division II<\/abbr> athletes from 77 schools.<\/p>\n

To be eligible, an individual must have held at least sophomore standing both academically and athletically. They must have participated in at least 50% of their team’s competitive rounds with a stroke average under 78.0 in Division II<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n

All four were also named to the Academic All-PacWest Team after helping UH<\/abbr> Hilo capture back-to-back Pacific West Conference Championships in April. Gomez claimed the individual title and was later named UH<\/abbr> Hilo\u2019s 2023–24 Male Athlete of the Year. The team also earned UH<\/abbr> Hilo Vulcan Team of the Year honors.<\/p>\n
