The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa<\/a> is among the world\u2019s best for academic, faculty, research and sustainability excellence, according to the 2025 edition of the QS<\/abbr> World University Rankings<\/a> by global higher educational analyst Quacquarelli Symonds released June 4.<\/p>\n

UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa ranked No<\/abbr>. 73 among U.S. institutions (out of more than 2,600 4-year institutions<\/a>) and No<\/abbr>. 488 in the world (out of more than 25,000 worldwide colleges and universities<\/a>). This places UH<\/abbr>\u2019s flagship campus in the top 2% globally.<\/p>\n

“The QS<\/abbr> rankings highlight the exceptional quality of education and research at UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa, placing us among the world\u2019s elite universities,” UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa Provost Michael Bruno said. “The people of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> can take pride in knowing that their university is recognized for its excellence on an international stage.”<\/p>\n

QS<\/abbr> rated universities on the following criteria: academic reputation (30%), citations per faculty (20%), employer reputation (15%), faculty student ratio (10%), international faculty ratio (5%), international student ratio (5%), sustainability (5%), employment outcomes (5%) and international research network (5%).<\/p>\n
