The free immersive program welcomes high school girls interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (<abbr>STEM<\/abbr>) and aims to inspire them to pursue <abbr>STEM<\/abbr>-related studies and careers.<\/p>\n<p>STARS is scheduled during the week of July 15&#8211;19, and <a href=\"https:\/\/pacificspacecenter.com\/apply-for-stars\/\">interested students are encouraged to apply by June 9<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Participants will engage in a diverse range of activities such as exclusive behind-the-scenes tours at leading science facilities, hands-on workshops covering coding and technology, and presentations by accomplished women in <abbr>STEM<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;STARS is all about showing young women what\u2019s possible for their futures,&rdquo; said STARS coordinator Chris Yoakum. &ldquo;We aim to foster a supportive environment where students can explore their interests, connect with mentors and mentorship opportunities, and learn about what STEM careers are really like from women who work in them.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>STARS is open to <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> high school girls ages 14 and up and is offered at no cost to participants.
