For her visionary contributions and leadership in landscape architecture, the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA<\/abbr>) elected University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa School of Architecture<\/a> Professor Judith Stilgenbauer as one of 40 ASLA<\/abbr> fellows<\/a> in 2024.<\/p>\n

Stilgenbauer\u2019s work in developing and spearheading Âé¶¹´«Ã½\u2019s<\/span> first landscape architecture degree program<\/a>, as well as her leadership and creative research in nature-based climate adaptation and coastal resilience design, have resulted in a high level of recognition and prominence in the field. Her accolades are reflections of a career marked by pursuing the highest standards in landscape architecture.<\/p>\n

“Being selected for this honor by a jury of esteemed landscape architecture peers whom I admire makes the elevation to fellow status extra meaningful for me,” said Stilgenbauer. “I have been a proud member of ASLA<\/abbr> because of the organization\u2019s intense focus and advocacy for tangible climate action and environmental equity in landscape architecture. I am honored to be recognized by national ASLA<\/abbr> for my contributions to the profession.”<\/p>\n

ASLA<\/abbr> fellows are recognized for their contributions to the landscape architecture profession and society at large. Election to the ASLA<\/abbr> Council of Fellows is one of the highest honors the ASLA<\/abbr> bestows on members.<\/p>\n

Stilgenbauer and the other ASLA<\/abbr> fellows will be recognized during a ceremony at the 2024 Conference on Landscape Architecture<\/a>, which will be held in Washington, D.C. in October.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
