And to our prospective students and their families, the rankings are a strong endorsement of the quality and value of an education from <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa also placed in the nation\u2019s top 50 in nine additional subjects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>English language and literature: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 30 U.S., <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 101&#8211;150 world<\/li>\n<li>Archaeology: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 30 U.S., <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 151&#8211;200 world<\/li>\n<li>Agriculture and forestry: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 34 U.S., <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 151&#8211;200 world<\/li>\n<li>Physics and astronomy: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 39 U.S., <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 151&#8211;200 world<\/li>\n<li>Sociology: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 42 U.S., <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 201&#8211;250 world<\/li>\n<li>Politics: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 44 U.S., <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 201&#8211;250 world<\/li>\n<li>Communication and media studies: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 46 U.S., <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 151&#8211;200 world<\/li>\n<li>Arts and humanities: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 47 U.S., <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 210 world<\/li>\n<li>Environmental sciences: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 49 U.S., <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 251&#8211;300 world<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa was ranked in four broad subject areas and 24 narrow subject areas.
