University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa beach volleyball<\/a> players Alana Embry and Jaime Santer were named the Big West Pairs Team of the Week after an unblemished tournament in the Heineken Queen’s Cup. This marks the first time the duo has received this weekly honor in their careers.<\/p>\n

The senior Santer and sophomore Embry played a perfect 6-0 at the top of the order to help the Rainbow Wahine claim the Heineken Queen’s Cup. For their efforts they were also named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Pair.<\/p>\n

The duo picked up wins against pairs from Boise State, Nebraska, Pepperdine and Saint Mary’s, with half of them coming in straight sets. The pair was particularly dominating on the tournament’s final day when they picked up straight-set sweeps over Pepperdine and Boise State by an average of nearly seven points per set.<\/p>\n
