Scores of University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> students connected with about 30 prospective tech employers at the Careers in IT<\/abbr> and Cyber Fair<\/a> held at the UH<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> in February. The fair was part of the Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Tech Days<\/a> series of events, aimed at preparing and linking Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>\u2019s young people to information technology careers in local companies.<\/p>\n

Participants were able to interact with industry leaders, learn about the latest trends, and explore internship and job opportunities in rapidly evolving fields.<\/p>\n

Loea Akiona, director of student development and career development at UH<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span>, was pleased with the event, especially considering it was only the second fair of its kind held on the west side. The first took place in the fall at UH<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span>.<\/p>\n

“We were thrilled to host a diverse range of esteemed employers across various sectors and industries,” Akiona said. “Students were able to speak at length with recruiters and professionals, gaining valuable insight into the industries.”<\/p>\n

The Careers in IT<\/abbr> and Cyber Fair was coupled with the UH<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> Career and Internship Fair<\/a> held the next day. Both fairs provided opportunities for students seeking internships, planning for their first job, or exploring career options for the future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
