An estimated $1.5 million in funding was made available through the generous support of <a href=\"https:\/\/uhcc.hawaii.edu\/goodjobshawaii\/\">Good Jobs <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span><\/a> to more than 200 students and interns.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We are so appreciative of the support that Good Jobs <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> has provided to the student teachers and interns in our <abbr>COE<\/abbr> teacher preparation programs,&rdquo; said Aaron Levine, partnership and placement coordinator in the <abbr>COE<\/abbr> School of Teacher Education. &ldquo;The tuition funds will go a long way toward helping to sustain <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span>\u2019s educator workforce. Mahalo nui loa to the entire Good Jobs <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> team for their gracious support!&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Tuition funds will be provided toward the end of February as a refund for student teachers and interns who have already paid for their spring 2024 tuition. Recipients were required to be <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> residents, U.S. citizens (or permanent resident or <abbr>COFA<\/abbr> status), 16 years or older, and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. They were eligible regardless of whether they already received stipends or apprenticeship funds from other sources.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"blocklink\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/tag\/good-jobs-hawaii\/\">Read more about Good Jobs <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Good Jobs <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> is a partnership between the <a href=\"https:\/\/uhcc.hawaii.edu\/\"><abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">UH<\/abbr> Community Colleges<\/a>, employers and organizations that want to help <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> residents attain good quality jobs.
