University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa<\/a>\u2019s senior Elma Lund placed third in the women’s platform to highlight the final day of the Bruin Diving Invitational for the Rainbow Wahine<\/a> and Rainbow Warrior<\/a> diving teams on January 14, in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Lund posted a score of 239.00 in the preliminaries to place third out of 48 divers competing in the event at UCLA<\/abbr>‘s Spieker Aquatic Center. She was among the 12 divers who advanced to the final and finished with a total of 474.35 to remain third.<\/p>\n

Senior Mackaby Pennington closed the weekend with a seventh-place finish in the men’s 1 meter. Pennington was ninth after the preliminary round with a score of 294.95 and jumped into seventh in the final with a total of 627.95. Senior Juan Gonzalez finished ninth in the 18-diver final with a total of 625.70.<\/p>\n

The Rainbow Wahine and Rainbow Warriors will next compete in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship February 12–14, in Mission Viejo, California.<\/p>\n
