The partnership encourages faculty and staff collaboration, student exchange programs and the exchange of academic materials and publications.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership has also agreed to establish a 3&#43;2 program, under which students with bachelor&#8217;s degrees awarded by <abbr>NTOU<\/abbr> will have the opportunity for an early start in pursuing a master&#8217;s degree to be awarded by <abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">UH<\/abbr> M&#257;noa.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/manoa-taiwan-partnership-2-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"group shot\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-187825\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/manoa-taiwan-partnership-2-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/manoa-taiwan-partnership-2-130x73.jpg 130w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/manoa-taiwan-partnership-2.jpg 676w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Specific undergraduate programs at <abbr>NTOU<\/abbr> will be eligible to apply for an eligible master&#8217;s degree program at <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M&#257;noa\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soest.hawaii.edu\/soestwp\/\">School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology<\/a> (<abbr>SOEST<\/abbr>) through the 3&#43;2 program.<\/p>\n<p>Eligible <abbr>NTOU<\/abbr> undergraduate programs include: marine environmental informatics, aquaculture, environmental biology and fisheries science, and harbor and river engineering.<\/p>\n<p>Eligible <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M&#257;noa master&#8217;s degree programs include: atmospheric sciences, Earth and planetary sciences, marine biology, and ocean and resource engineering.<\/p>\n<p>This collaborative effort aims to promote internationalized education, cultural exchange and collaboration in areas of common interest and benefit to both institutions.
