University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> women’s volleyball<\/a> player Kate Lang was voted Big West Setter of the Week after helping lead the Rainbow Wahine to a pair of road sweeps. This is Lang’s sixth Setter of the Week award of 2023 and ninth of the junior’s career.<\/p>\n

Lang distributed 64 total assists to average 10.67 assists\/set. She and Jackie Matias had the \u2018Bows offense hitting at a .345 clip while averaging 15.17 kills\/set on UH<\/abbr>‘s roadtrip.<\/p>\n

At CSUN<\/abbr>, Lang issued 37 assists with one error in 67 attempts for a .552 assist percentage. She added seven digs plus a kill as the ‘Bows hit a combined, .367. UH<\/abbr> closed out the sweep hitting .522 in the third set alone.<\/p>\n

Lang dished out 27 assists with a pair of service aces and three digs at Cal State Bakersfield to extend UH<\/abbr>‘s win streak to a season-long five straight wins. UH<\/abbr> hit .327 with nine different players notching at least one kill.<\/p>\n

Overall, Lang leads the league with a career-high 10.39 assists per set and 852 total assists. As a team, UH<\/abbr> is top in the Big West in assists per set (12.94) which ranks the ‘Bows at No. 15 in the NCAA<\/abbr> D<\/abbr>I<\/abbr>. UH<\/abbr> also leads the Big West in kill\/set (13.84) which ranks at No. 19 in the NCAA<\/abbr>. UH<\/abbr> has hit over .300 in each of the last four matches and nine times this season.<\/p>\n
