The evening celebrated the outstanding achievements of five distinguished alumni and raised more than $370,000 in support of Shidler college. These funds support the Shidler College of Business Advancement Fund, furthering its mission to bolster student programs, scholarships, faculty research, alumni outreach and special programs.<\/p>\n<p>The 2023 inductees are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maura Mizuguchi, <abbr title=\"Bachelor of Business Administration\">BBA<\/abbr> \u201983, chief accounting officer, Cetera Financial Group<\/li>\n<li>Diane S.L. Paloma, <abbr title=\"Doctor of Philosophy\">PhD<\/abbr>, <abbr title=\"Master of Business Administration\">MBA<\/abbr> \u201999, president and chief executive officer, Hawaii Dental Service, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/leadership\/diane-s-l-paloma\/\"><abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">UH<\/abbr> regent<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Matt Takamine, <abbr>BBA<\/abbr> \u201998, executive managing director and captive practice leader, Brown &#38; Brown<\/li>\n<li>Eric P. Tom, <abbr>BBA<\/abbr> \u201981, former executive vice president and chief revenue officer, Teradata, and chief operating officer, International Game Technology<\/li>\n<li>Joseph Young, <abbr>BBA<\/abbr> \u201998, managing partner, Deloitte<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&ldquo;This year\u2019s honorees represent a truly diverse and remarkable group of individuals who have embarked on unique journeys in their professional careers,&rdquo; Shidler college Dean Vance Roley said. &ldquo;Some have chosen to remain in <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>, actively contributing to positive change in our local community, while others have ventured to the mainland, where they\u2019ve been able to share the invaluable lessons gained from their time at Shidler college. They embody the idea that a Shidler education can have a profound impact that extends far beyond our islands, and their accomplishments serve as a testament to the reach and influence of our college.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Shidler alumna and 2014 Hall of Honor recipient Gina Mangieri emceed the event. Deloitte served as the presenting sponsor and <em>Pacific Business News<\/em> once again served as the media sponsor.<\/p>\n<p>The Hall of Honor Awards is the largest fundraiser held in partnership with the Shidler College of Business Alumni Association.
