University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa swimmer Milan Bukovics was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF<\/abbr>) Swimming and Diving<\/a> Male Athlete of the Week on October 18, following his performances at the season-opening USC<\/abbr> Invitational on October 13–14 in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Bukovics, a junior from Budapest, Hungary, turned in two NCAA<\/abbr> Division-I<\/abbr> Top-15 swims during the meet to earn his first MPSF<\/abbr> weekly award. He won the 400 Individual Medley (IM<\/abbr>) in a personal best 3 minutes, 50.69 seconds, the No. 10 fastest time in the nation this season and the third best in program history. Bukovics\u2019 previous best in the event was 3:51.69 set in November 2022.<\/p>\n

Bukovics also finished fourth in the 200 IM<\/abbr> with a time of 1:47.76, which ranks No. 15in the country, and placed third in the 200 fly with a time of 1:47.44.<\/p>\n
