University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa women\u2019s cross country<\/a> freshman Emilie Kirk Langschwager was named Big West Athlete of the Week after her first collegiate victory at the Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Pacific University Invitational on October 8.<\/p>\n

Kirk Langschwager took victory in the 6k<\/abbr> race at Kahuku Golf Course, finishing over a minute ahead of everyone else in the field with a time of 22:10.00. Kirk Langschwager is the first Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> runner to be named Big West Athlete of the Week since 2021.<\/p>\n

Kirk Langschwager has been the top UH<\/abbr> finisher in each of the last three meets and has finished in the top seven in all four meets she has competed in, including a pair of runner-up finishes and a win.<\/p>\n

She started her collegiate career with a runner-up finish in the Big Wave Invitational before following with another second-place finish at the Mountain Regional Preview. Kirk Langschwager then placed No. 7 at the Charles Bowles Invitational, running the fourth-fastest 5k<\/abbr> in program history with a 17:27.00.<\/p>\n
