The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa<\/a> is among the world\u2019s top 1% for teaching and research, according to the 2024 Times Higher Education<\/em> World University Rankings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The flagship campus of the 10 campus system placed No<\/abbr>. 57 in the U.S. and in the No<\/abbr>. 201–250 tier worldwide. That\u2019s out of more than 25,000 colleges and universities in the world<\/a> (top 250 qualifies as the world\u2019s top 1%).<\/p>\n

Times Higher Education<\/em>, which issues these rankings annually, is one of the leading national and international university rankings organizations. For these rankings, Times Higher Education<\/em> first determined the top 175 U.S. universities and top 1,904 universities worldwide.<\/p>\n

Rankings criteria:<\/h2>\n

Times Higher Education<\/em> has increased its rankings indicators from 13 last year to 18 this year, in an effort “to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons, trusted by students, academics, university leaders, industry and governments.”<\/p>\n
