University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Hilo men\u2019s soccer<\/a> senior goalkeeper Christian Souza was named PacWest Defender of the Week after a win against the San Francisco State Gators.<\/p>\n

Souza saved four shots during a tight 1-0 victory for the Vulcans on September 10 at Hilo. It was the second shutout of Souza’s career, and his defense contributed to the Vulcans’ first win of 2023. It was also the first collegiate victory for interim head coach Diego Marroquin.<\/p>\n
