University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa women’s volleyball<\/a> player Kate Lang earned her third-straight Big West Setter of the Week honor for her play in the OUTRIGGER Volleyball Challenge. Last season, Lang claimed four-consecutive Big West Setter of the Week awards. Lang has earned eight career conference weekly honors.<\/p>\n

In three matches, Lang recorded 127 assists, averaging 10.58 assists\/set. She also scooped up 28 digs and was in on five blocks while notching a pair of double-doubles against Liberty and Pepperdine.<\/p>\n

In the September 7 match, the Rainbow Wahine had a five-set loss to Liberty, andissued a season-high 50 assists to go with 12 digs, three blocks and two kills.<\/p>\n

Lang followed it up with 37 assists and 10 digs in a victorious effort against Pepperdine. Against the Waves, she averaged a season-high 12.33 assists as the ‘Bows posted a season-best .324 hitting percentage.<\/p>\n

She capped the weekend with 40 assists in the tournament finale against UCLA<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n

Lang currently leads the Big West in total assists (338) and assists per set (10.24). She is averaging 10.31 career assists per set, which ranks her 11th among active Division I<\/abbr> players.<\/p>\n
