The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> System<\/a> is one of the best employers in Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>, according to the Forbes<\/em> America’s Best-In-State Employers 2023<\/a> list released August 22. The 10-campus UH<\/abbr> System placed No<\/abbr>. 5 overall, up four spots from the 2022 Forbes<\/em> ranking<\/a>. UH<\/abbr> was also No<\/abbr>. 3 among local employers in Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> and No<\/abbr>. 1 in the education sector.<\/p>\n

“We take pride in providing an inclusive and supportive workplace environment where our employees can thrive,” UH<\/abbr> President David Lassner said. “Our amazing faculty and staff provide students across our islands with transformational education opportunities as they engage in research and scholarship that advances Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> and our planet.”<\/p>\n

Forbes<\/em> partnered with a market research firm to survey 70,000 workers at companies (minimum of 500 employees) in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Participants were asked if they would recommend their employer to others, and to evaluate their employer based on working conditions, diversity, compensation packages, potential for development, company image and more. All surveys were anonymous.<\/p>\n

UH<\/abbr> also made the list of Forbes<\/em> 2023 America\u2019s Best Employers for Women<\/a>, ranking No<\/abbr>. 17 in the U.S. education industry and No<\/abbr>. 90 overall.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
