The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Hilo women’s soccer team<\/a> was named a United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award winner on August 16. The award recognizes exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2022–23 academic year.<\/p>\n

The Vulcans posted a 3.5 team GPA<\/abbr>, landing at a nine-school tie at number 242 out of 497 women’s soccer programs across all three NCAA<\/abbr> divisions.<\/p>\n

Back in early May, the women’s soccer team was also awarded UH<\/abbr> Hilo Ramon Goya Academic Team of the Year<\/a> for highest GPA<\/abbr> among the Vulcans team sports for the 2022–23 year.<\/p>\n

A total of 808 soccer teams achieved a team GPA<\/abbr> of 3.0 or higher to receive a United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for 2022–23.<\/p>\n

United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.<\/p>\n
