The East-West Center<\/a> held its annual East-West Fest on April 16 with hundreds of people in attendance. This year’s theme was “Celebrating our Cultures, Sustaining our Communities.”<\/p>\n

Two stages were set up to showcase cultural performances by students, community and professional performers with music, dance and martial arts.<\/p>\n

The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa Way of Tea Club also hosted three traditional Japanese tea ceremony demonstrations in the Japanese Tea House.<\/p>\n

Visitors had the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities, sample foods, ask questions and learn about the different cultures represented at the festival.<\/p>\n

Although the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> and East-West Center are separate institutions, they have long been close partners and neighbors.<\/p>\n
