The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa women’s swimming and diving<\/a> 400 freestyle relay team secured a spot in the NCAA<\/abbr> championships after posting a program record-breaking A cut time on February 26 at the Georgia Last Chance Meet in Athens, Georgia.<\/p>\n

The history-making Rainbow Wahine relay team of Holly Nelson<\/strong>, Laticia Transom<\/strong>, Anna Friedrich<\/strong> and Gabrielle Scudamore<\/strong> swam a 3:12.76 in the 400 free relay, lowering their time by more than two seconds to earn an automatic bid to be a part of the NCAA<\/abbr> field in the event.<\/p>\n

Nelson opened the relay with a 49.07, followed by Transom with a 46.66 and Friedrich with a 48.55 before Scudamore anchored with a 48.48 to bring it home. It is the third time that the squad has broken the program record this year. The mark is also the ninth fastest in the country for the 2022–23 season.<\/p>\n

The UH<\/abbr> swimming and diving programs will now turn their attention to the NCAA<\/abbr> postseason, starting with the Zone E Diving Championships, March 6–8 in Federal Way, Washington.<\/p>\n
