The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa women\u2019s<\/a> and men\u2019s<\/a> basketball teams had strong games against California Polytechnic State University on February 4. The Rainbow Wahine cruised to a 80-58 win at home while the Rainbow Warriors claimed a 69-56 road win in San Luis Obispo, California.<\/p>\n

Rainbow Wahine<\/h2>\n

UH<\/abbr>\u2019s 80-58 score was its highest point total of the season and also the most scored in a game since the 2020–21 season. The Rainbow Wahine shot a blazing 55% and buried nine three-pointers. The team also accumulated a total of 22 assists—its most in nearly six years.<\/p>\n

Kallin Spiller<\/strong> led all scorers with 19 points on 9-of-11 shooting and a season-high seven rebounds. Four other players tallied double digits including Meilani McBee<\/strong> (13), Daejah Phillips<\/strong> (12), McKenna Haire<\/strong> (11) and Lily Wahinekapu<\/strong> (10).<\/p>\n

The Rainbow Wahine head back on the road for a pair of Big West matchups against UC<\/abbr> San Diego (February 9) and Cal State Fullerton (February 11).<\/p>\n

Rainbow Warriors<\/h2>\n

The Rainbow Warriors\u2019 final score of 69-56 marked the team\u2019s sixth straight win over Cal Poly. With this win, UH<\/abbr> moved into a tie for No. 3 in the Big West standings.<\/p>\n

Kamaka Hepa<\/strong> finished just one point shy of a career-high scoring game, going 7-of-11 from the floor, 4-of-6 on three-pointers and 11-of-12 from the free throw line. He also added a team-high six rebounds. Samuta Avea<\/strong> also contributed with 18 points, while JoVon McClanahan<\/strong> added nine points and a season-high six assists.<\/p>\n
