Craig Phillips and Clementina Ceria-Ulep<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa has identified four finalists for the position of dean and The Queen\u2019s Health Systems Professorship for the <a href=\"http:\/\/nursing.hawaii.edu\">Nancy Atmospera-Walch School of Nursing<\/a> (<abbr>NAWSON<\/abbr>). <\/p>\n<p>The four finalists are scheduled for in-person visits over a two-day period that includes meetings with senior administrators, faculty, staff, students and internal and external constituents, and a public presentation.<\/p>\n<p>Campus and community members, as well as the general public, are encouraged to attend the public presentations. <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/executivesearch\/sondh\">Zoom information for the respective candidates\u2019 public presentations may found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The campus visits of the four candidates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Clementina Ceria-Ulep<\/strong>, visiting January 18&#8211;19, 2023<br \/>\nInterim dean and professor<br \/>\nNancy Atmospera-Walch School of Nursing, <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa<br \/>\n<em>Public presentation: January 18, 3:30&#8211;4:30 p.m.; Business Administration A102<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Kelly Johnson<\/strong>, visiting January 25&#8211;26, 2023<br \/>\nDirector of administration, operations, relationships<br \/>\n<span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Keiki: Healthy and Ready to Learn<br \/>\n(Former senior vice president and system chief nursing officer, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.queens.org\/locations\/hospitals\/qmc\/\">The Queen\u2019s Medical Center<\/a>)<br \/>\n<em>Public presentation: January 25, 3:30.&#8211;4:30 p.m.; Business Administration A102<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Butch de Castro<\/strong>, visiting February 7&#8211;8, 2023<br \/>\nAssociate dean<br \/>\nProfessor, Department of Child, Family and Population Health Nursing<br \/>\nSchool of Nursing<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/nursing.uw.edu\/\">University of Washington<\/a><br \/>\n<em>Public presentation: February 7, 3:30&#8211;4:30 p.m.; Webster Hall 203<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>J. Craig Phillips<\/strong>, visiting February 14&#8211;15, 2023<br \/>\nProfessor (former Vice-Dean, Governance and Secretary)<br \/>\nFaculty of Health Sciences, <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.uottawa.ca\/en\">University of Ottawa<\/a><br \/>\n<em>Public presentation: February 14, 2023, 3:30.&#8211;4:30 p.m.; Webster 203<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&ldquo;The search advisory committee with the assistance of Witt Kieffer, did a terrific job in identifying these four finalists, and I would like to thank them for their time, hard work and commitment to the search process. This is an impressive pool of finalists, and we are fortunate to be able to conduct these visits with campus and community constituents as part of the effort in finding the next dean for <abbr>NAWSON<\/abbr>,&rdquo; said <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa Provost <strong>Michael Bruno<\/strong>. &ldquo;As always, we encourage <abbr>UH<\/abbr> faculty, staff, students and the public to participate and meet the candidates, and we look forward to receiving their feedback.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Following the visits and review of the feedback from the search advisory committee and others, Bruno will be making a recommendation on this appointment to <abbr>UH<\/abbr> President <strong>David Lassner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>More information about the search process, including a list of the members of the search advisory committee, the campus visit daily schedule and the candidate biographies, can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/executivesearch\/sondh\">search website<\/a>.
