University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Hilo women\u2019s basketball<\/a> player Mindy Kawaha<\/strong> and men\u2019s basketball<\/a> player Kalique Mitchell<\/strong> earned KTA<\/abbr> Super Stores Superstars of the Week awards for November 16–29.<\/p>\n

Kawaha helped the Vulcans to their second win of the season on November 19. In the 85-57 victory against Multnomah University, she put in a career-high 17 points on 5-of-7 shooting and went 5-for-5 at the free-throw line.<\/p>\n

Mitchell made his on-record debut with 16 points off the bench against University of Colorado Colorado Springs, shooting 5-of- from the field, 6-of-8 from the charity stripe and collecting nine rebounds to fall just shy of a double-double.<\/p>\n

The award<\/a> names one male and one female Vulcans student-athlete each week, highlighting their accomplishments from the prior week.<\/p>\n
