The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa men’s golf<\/a> team concluded the Kāʻanapali<\/span> Classic Collegiate Invitational with a program-best 858 total following the final round on October 30 at the Royal Kāʻanapali<\/span> Course.<\/p>\n

The Rainbow Warriors completed the third and final round of the tournament with a 285 to finish at 6-over par for the tournament and a tie for 15th place. UH<\/abbr>‘s previous best score at Kāʻanapali<\/span> was 869 in 2015.<\/p>\n

Atsuya Oishi<\/strong> was UH<\/abbr>‘s top finisher with a 1-under 212 total. Oishi posted his second straight 72 to close out the tournament and tie for 40th place.<\/p>\n

Blaze Akana<\/strong> posted the best round of the day for the Warriors with a 2-under 69 to finish at even par 213 and a tie for 53rd place.<\/p>\n

Also competing for UH<\/abbr> were Josh Hayashida<\/strong> (71=218, t-83rd), Tyler Ogawa<\/strong> (73=218, t-83rd) and Remington Hirano<\/strong> (75=219, 89th).<\/p>\n

Isaiah Kanno<\/strong> (72=215, t-67th), Pierce Braun<\/strong> (73=221, t-96th), James Whitworth<\/strong> (70=222, t-100th) and Garrett Takeuchi<\/strong> (78=229, t-116th) competed as individuals.<\/p>\n

The Kāʻanapali<\/span> Classic closed out the fall season for the Rainbow Warriors. UH<\/abbr> will open its spring season with the Amer Ari Invitational, which it will co-host with UH<\/abbr> Hilo<\/a>. The tournament will be held February 8–10, 2023 at the H\u0101puna Golf Course in Waimea, Hawai\u02bbi.<\/p>\n
