University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa women’s volleyball<\/a> players Riley Wagoner<\/strong> and Caylen Alexander<\/strong> earned Big West Conference weekly honors after winning a pair of conference matches against UC<\/abbr> Irvine and UC<\/abbr> San Diego. Wagoner was tabbed the Big West Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in her career, while Alexander received her third-straight and fourth overall Freshman of the Week award.<\/p>\n

Wagoner, a junior outside hitter, had 10 kills, seven digs and four blocks in UH<\/abbr>‘s 3-0 sweep of UC<\/abbr> Irvine on October 7. Wagoner also achieved a career-high 25 kills on a career-high 51 swings in the Rainbow Wahine’s 3-1 win against UC<\/abbr> San Diego on October 8. The kill count was the most for a Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> player since 2017. Wagoner also added four digs, an ace and a block against UC<\/abbr> San Diego. She has recorded double-digit kills in the last eight consecutive matches and 10 times overall this season. Last season, Wagoner earned her first Big West Offensive Player of the Week award. She is the first Rainbow Wahine to earn Big West Offensive Player of the Week honors this season.<\/p>\n

Alexander recorded seven kills, four digs, one ace and a season-high three assists in UH<\/abbr>‘s win over UC<\/abbr> Irvine. Against UC<\/abbr> San Diego, Alexander posted her third double-double with 16 kills and a season-best 14 digs. Alexander has appeared in all of UH<\/abbr>‘s 14 matches, compiling 10-plus kills in eight of them, including in four of UH<\/abbr>‘s six Big West contests. She has amassed 61 kills over the past five matches, attacking at a .326 (61-16-138) rate. Alexander continues to lead the Rainbow Wahine with 19 service aces.<\/p>\n

The Rainbow Wahine have won seven matches in a row this season and are currently the lone unbeaten team in conference play in the Big West.<\/p>\n
