The exhibitions feature pieces that represent various techniques and mediums of art.<\/p>\n<p>One featured exhibition, <a href=\"https:\/\/hawaii.edu\/art\/the-graphic-works-of-tetsuo-ochikubo\/\"><em>The Graphic Works of Tetsuo Ochikubo, 1956&#8211;1970<\/em><\/a>, opens on September 28 and is on view through December 4. It is the first solo exhibition to examine the work of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span>-born artist Tetsuo Ochikubo (1923&#8211;1975) in almost 50 years, and the only one to focus exclusively on his printmaking. Featuring more than two dozen prints and previously unexhibited archival documents, the exhibition looks at printmaking as a central site of Ochikubo\u2019s extensive artistic experimentation.<\/p>\n<p>A recipient of a 1959 Guggenheim Fellowship to work in lithography and an early Tamarind Institute artist fellow in 1961, Ochikubo was among a select group of painters and sculptors who pioneered the art of lithography in American Post-War abstraction.<\/p>\n<p>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/hawaii.edu\/art\/the-graphic-works-of-tetsuo-ochikubo\/\">museum\u2019s website<\/a> to learn more about Ochikubo and the exhibit.<\/p>\n<p>Other current and upcoming exhibitions at the museum include <em><a href=\"https:\/\/hawaii.edu\/art\/shinea-moon\/\">Shinea Moon: Memories of a Space Fairy<\/a><\/em> (on view through October 2) and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/hawaii.us2.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=01b6a3576303e8c6267c96bd9&#038;id=deeaffeb94&#038;e=c6fa453ac5\">Liz Train: Woven Steel Frame Sculpture<\/a><\/em> (on view October 5&#8211;30).<\/p>\n<p><em>Shinea Moon: Memories of a Space Fairy<\/em> explores the colors and shapes that exist alongside but separate from lived experiences and landscapes. Moon paints visions, dreamscapes and shamanic journeys.<\/p>\n<p><em>Liz Train: Woven Steel Frame Sculpture<\/em> will reunite the majority of <strong>Liz Train<\/strong>&#8216;s woven steel frame pieces.
