University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa journalism students in the School of Communication and Information<\/a> at the College of Social Sciences<\/a> took home 23 awards in the 2021 Society of Professional Journalists Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Chapter<\/a>\u2019s Excellence in Journalism competition, announced in August.<\/p>\n

Multiple award winners include Aishwarya Behl<\/strong>, Nathan Bek<\/strong>, Christine Lamborn<\/strong>, Cassie Ordonio<\/strong> and Samantha Jo Sexton<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For the past several years, UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa students majoring in or taking journalism classes have made a strong showing in the contest, winning nearly every award in the student categories.<\/p>\n
