University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Hilo men\u2019s soccer<\/a> player Alexander Hernandez-Herbach<\/strong> and women\u2019s soccer<\/a> player Filippa Graneld<\/strong> received KTA<\/abbr> Super Stores Superstars of the Week recognition for the week September 7–13.<\/p>\n

The KTA<\/abbr> Super Stores<\/a> Superstars of the Week award names one male and one female Vulcan Athletics student-athlete each week for their accomplishments and highlights from the week prior.<\/p>\n

After contributing on a pair of goals in the September 4 Vulcans season opener, senior Hernandez-Herbach got one of his own on September 12 with a fourth-minute header against Cal State Monterey Bay to give UH<\/abbr> Hilo the early lead.<\/p>\n

Graneld, a junior, captured a total of seven points through three games last week, netting a pair of goals on September 8 against San Francisco State, then another goal and an assist against Regis on September 12.<\/p>\n
