Both the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa men\u2019s and women\u2019s tennis teams were named Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA<\/abbr>) All-Academic Teams while a combined 13 student-athletes earned scholar-athletes honors for 2022.<\/p>\n

The Rainbow Wahine tennis team<\/a> earned the ITA<\/abbr> All-Academic Team award for the seventh consecutive season. Eight Rainbow Wahine were also named ITA<\/abbr> Scholar-Athletes—Gitte Heynemans<\/strong>, Madison Kim<\/strong>, Kaitlyn Ralar<\/strong>, L\u00e9a Romain<\/strong>, Nidhi Surapaneni<\/strong>, Satsuki Takamura<\/strong>, Ana Vilcek<\/strong> and Tal Talya Zandberg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Rainbow Wahine tennis team has been named an ITA<\/abbr> All-Academic Team a total of 12 times and since 1983, 103 players earned ITA<\/abbr> Scholar-Athlete awards at least once. Kim, Romain and Takamura earned the academic honor for three-straight years.<\/p>\n

The Rainbow Warriors tennis team<\/a> earned ITA<\/abbr> All-Academic Team honors while five players—Cody Castro<\/strong>, Andy Hernandez<\/strong>, Andre Ilagan<\/strong>, Axel Labrunie<\/strong> and Blaz Seric<\/strong>—were tabbed as ITA<\/abbr> Scholar-Athletes.<\/p>\n

The Rainbow Warriors have been recognized as an ITA<\/abbr> All-Academic Team a total of seven times and since 1983, 29 players earned a total of 43 ITA<\/abbr> Scholar-Athlete honors. For Seric, it marked the second time receiving the national honor.<\/p>\n
