The new <a href=\"http:\/\/hawaii-can.org\/kids-count-dashboard\"><span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> KIDS COUNT Data Dashboard<\/a> is an interactive website that monitors the well-being of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span>\u2019s children. It includes demographic, education, economic, and health and safety data. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This project gives the public and decision makers a clearer picture of how keiki are faring across the state,&rdquo; said Deborah Zysman, executive director of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> Children\u2019s Action Network\u2014an organization that has long invested in research and uses data to promote policy that aims to ensure that all children are healthy, safe and ready to learn. &ldquo;We hope this data dashboard will spark conversations and inspire solutions to ensure all children and families in <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> can thrive.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/hkc-300x67.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"67\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-160498\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/hkc-300x67.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/hkc-130x29.jpg 130w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/hkc.jpg 676w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> KIDS COUNT Data Dashboard provides statewide and county-level data on 19 metrics and allows users to track changes over time. Data is gathered from various state and national sources, with rolling updates to the dashboard as new data become available from original sources. The <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> KIDS COUNT Data Dashboard represents a subset of child well-being indicators that the partnership shares on the <a href=\"https:\/\/datacenter.kidscount.org\/\">national KIDS COUNT Data Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It\u2019s difficult to make policy without good data,&rdquo; said <strong>Kathleen Gauci<\/strong>, data center manager at the <abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa Center on the Family. &ldquo;We hope that the dashboard, as well as other data we make available through the <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> KIDS COUNT project, will serve as tools to assess where we are doing well for our children and where we need improvements.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/?s=KIDS+COUNT\">Read more on KIDS COUNT research<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Funded by the Annie E.
