Three members of the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa women’s water polo team<\/a> earned spots on the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-America team.<\/p>\n

UH<\/abbr> Rainbow Wahine Lara Luka at the 2022 NCAA<\/abbr> championship tournament.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Rainbow Wahine Elyse Lemay-Lavoie<\/strong> worked her way onto the second team, Morgan McDowall<\/strong> the third team, and Lara Luka<\/strong> on the honorable mention list.<\/p>\n

Lemay-Lavoie was voted to the second team for the second time in her career. She led the ‘Bows with 43 goals and earned two Big West Player of the Week awards and First-Team All-Big West honors. She ended her career in the top three in UH<\/abbr> history in goals per match with 2.21 over her three seasons.<\/p>\n

McDowall earned third-team All-America honors in her first collegiate season, where she posted the single season-best shooting percentage at .667 in school history. After a slow start to her career, McDowall turned it on down the stretch, scoring 22 goals in the final six matches of the season. She also earned the Big West Freshman of the Year award and a spot on the freshman First-Team All-Big West.<\/p>\n

Luka ended the season as the point and assist leader for the Rainbow Wahine. She earned the first Big West Player of the Week award of the season and a spot on the second team All-Big West.<\/p>\n

Since the program’s inception in 1998, UH<\/abbr> has had at least one athlete make the list every year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
