Lassner cited the increase in positive cases in the state when explaining why the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2022\/05\/17\/face-masks-for-summer\/\">mask requirement for educational spaces<\/a> will remain in place for the summer sessions.<\/p>\n<p>He also provided progress reports on the tenure working group and Â鶹´«Ã½ning Initiative, discussed pay increases for employees and student employees and highlighted a five-year, $20 million National Science Foundation grant awarded to <abbr>UH<\/abbr> to fund <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2022\/05\/16\/20m-tclimate-resilience-through-data-science\/\">research and capacity building in support of actionable climate
