Bruno was joined by <strong>Lee Buenconsejo-Lum<\/strong>, <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa professor and <a href=\"https:\/\/jabsom.hawaii.edu\/\">John A. Suspending the vaccination requirements does not un-vaccinate anyone, and the expectation is that those rates will remain very high moving forward.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The forum at the <a href=\"https:\/\/socialsciences.manoa.hawaii.edu\/\">College of Social Sciences<\/a> Digital Studios in the Sinclair Student Success Center was moderated by <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa spokeswoman <strong><span aria-label=\"Moanikeala\">Moanike&#699;ala<\/span> Nabarro<\/strong> and livestreamed on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/UniversityofHawaii\"><abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa YouTube channel<\/a>. Topics covered included the latest on the pandemic, mask wearing policies on campus, updates to the vaccination requirements, and the outlook for events on campus, such as commencement.<\/p>\n<p>Buenconsejo-Lum explained why the decision was made to drop some restrictions regarding the university\u2019s COVID-19 guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The COVID community level for all of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> is low, that is based on the number of hospitalization beds and the number of cases per 100,000,&rdquo; she said. &ldquo;We also have the highest vaccination rates in the state and we\u2019re also continuing with the indoor masking for those instructional spaces.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bruno has hosted five livestream forums for the <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa community.
