Editor’s note June 13, 2022<\/strong> This message was shared with the faculty and staff of the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>: Mahalo for your participation in the 2022 Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Foodbank State Employees Food Drive! The food and money you donated helps eliminate food insecurity for families in crisis and our other neighbors in need.<\/p>\n

The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> continues to be a leading contributor in monetary contributions ($69,743), which provided food for 156,608 meals, and food donations (7,991 pounds). There are still a few campuses that need to coordinate their pick up, so our numbers will continue to increase.<\/p>\n

Thank you again for your continued generosity to the Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Foodbank and to those in our state who benefit from its services.<\/p>\n

The Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Foodbank kicked off its Annual State Employees Food Drive, which runs through May 13, 2022. The issue of hunger continues to be a major challenge facing the community, affecting those most vulnerable, and the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> ʻohana is not immune from this issue.<\/p>\n

The Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Foodbank’s state employees food drive\u2019s goal this year is to raise $147,000 and 39,000 pounds of food.<\/p>\n
