A new free, short and easy application to the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Community Colleges<\/a>, called the Kamaʻāina<\/span> App<\/a>, is now available exclusively for graduating seniors in Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>\u2019s class of 2022. The Kamaʻāina<\/span> App should take students fewer than 15 minutes to complete and there is no application fee, saving valuable time and money. This application is open to all class of 2022 seniors attending a public, private or charter school in Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Students can apply now for the upcoming summer and fall 2022 semesters at: kamaaina.hawaii.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“We welcome the Class of 2022 to the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>\u2019s seven community colleges for education and training in a wide range of programs that prepares them for success in careers and contributing to the community,” said UH<\/abbr> Vice President of Community Colleges Erika Lacro<\/strong>. “The Kamaʻāina<\/span> App streamlines the process for admission for our graduating high school seniors to take the next steps for their future.”<\/p>\n

In addition to a new application, UH<\/abbr> Community Colleges offer various scholarships<\/a> to help make a postsecondary education affordable. Every Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> student who is eligible is considered for the Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Promise Scholarship<\/a>, which provides free in-state tuition for qualified students with financial need. Last year, about 2,500 UH<\/abbr> Community College students were offered more than $5 million of these scholarships.<\/p>\n

For Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> public high school seniors needing assistance in completing their Kamaʻāina<\/span> App, Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> P–20 Partnerships for Education is hosting a series of college application workshops. To register for an upcoming event, go to collegeiswithinreachhawaii.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n
