A newly announced academic and research ranking places the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa<\/a> within the top 1% of all universities worldwide. The 2021 Aggregate Ranking of Top Universities<\/a> (ARTU<\/abbr>), released on January 18, combines three of the most influential global rankings to form its ranking.<\/p>\n

UH<\/abbr>\u2019s flagship campus ranked No<\/abbr>. 66 in the U.S. and No<\/abbr>. 259 globally out of more than 26,000 colleges and universities worldwide. ARTU<\/abbr> combines UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa\u2019s rankings by Times Higher Education<\/em><\/a>, Quacquarelli Symonds<\/a> and Academic Ranking of World Universities<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ARTU<\/abbr>, now in its third year, was created by the University of New South Wales. Rankings of more than 2,000 universities were analyzed for the 2021 ARTU<\/abbr> update, which identified the top 400 global universities.<\/p>\n

Times Higher Education<\/em>, Quacquarelli Symonds and Academic Ranking of World Universities utilized more than a dozen different metrics combined, including academic reputation, highly cited researchers, student engagement, graduation rates and diversity.<\/p>\n

“UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa is regularly recognized as among the top research universities in the world. This aggregate ranking confirms our standing in a very strong and public fashion, and is a reflection of the continued remarkable achievements of our faculty, staff and students,” UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa Provost Michael Bruno<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n
