The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Hilo men\u2019s basketball team<\/a> had two solid conference wins against Holy Names University (HNU<\/abbr>) on January 6 and Biola University on January 10. Vulcans Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones<\/strong> and Kameron Ng<\/strong> had standout performances in these two victories and were named Pepsi Athletes of the Week.<\/p>\n

Tait-Jones racked up big numbers on the stat sheet. He had a double-double in both games totaling 39 points, 26 rebounds, five assists, four steals and three blocks. He also excelled at the free throw line going 12-for-15.<\/p>\n

Ng contributed 12 points in both victories. Against HNU<\/abbr>, Ng was 4-for-9 in the field, 1-for-2 behind the arc and 3-for-4 at the free throw line. Against the Eagles, Ng shot 50% from the field, was 2-for-5 behind the arc and 2-for-2 at the free throw line.<\/p>\n
