The Rainbow Warriors received 12 first-place votes. <\/p>\n<p><strong>AVCA preseason top 5:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1. <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> <\/li>\n<li>2. <abbr>UCLA<\/abbr><\/li>\n<li>3. Pepperdine<\/li>\n<li>4. Long Beach State<\/li>\n<li>5. Penn State<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2021\/05\/08\/mens-vb-wins-national-title\/\"><abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">UH<\/abbr> defeated <abbr title=\"Brigham Young University\">BYU<\/abbr> in straight sets in the national title match in May<\/a>.
