This week\u2019s Pepsi Athletes are University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Hilo Vulcan<\/a> basketball players Max Kunnert<\/strong> and Sara Shimizu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Kunnert had a great game against Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Pacific University (HPU<\/abbr>) on December 12 in the Vulcans 79-67 victory. He scored 12 points, contributed one assist, snagged four rebounds and had one steal against the Sharks. Kunnert was 5-for-8 in the field and 50% from behind the arc, landing two of four 3-point shots.<\/p>\n

Shimizu was a key asset in the Vulcans\u2019 73-50 win over HPU<\/abbr>. She was the second-highest Vulcan scorer with 12 points. Shimizu was 3-for-6 in the field and led her team in 3-pointers. She was 2-for-3 from behind the arc and contributed two assists against the Sharks. She was also 4-for-6 at the free throw line and collected four boards.<\/p>\n
