A family friendly event, the Palik&#363; Arts Festival will include free performances at Palik&#363; Theatre, a free show at the <a href=\"http:\/\/aerospace.wcc.hawaii.edu\/imaginarium.html\">Imaginarium<\/a>, and fun hands-on opportunities to get involved in art, music, literature, theatre and movement. The festival is free to the public and open to all ages.<\/p>\n<p>The festival&#8217;s emphasis is on &ldquo;doing&rdquo; art. Windward art professors, instructors and their students will be on hand&#8212;with supplies provided&#8212;to assist those who want to express their creativity in a variety of ways from painting, drawing, and sculpting to moving, acting or making music, prints, masks, poetry and prose.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees are encouraged to come in costume or festive clothing. <span aria-label=\"Ono\">&#699;Ono<\/span> food will be available.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Music workshops with Sojin Kimura<\/li>\n<li>Gymnastics with Sarah Hadmack<\/li>\n<li>Garage Band with Renee Arakaki&#8212;making music on your computer<\/li>\n<li>Pottery wheel for kids with Paul Nash<\/li>\n<li>Camera obscura with Mark Hamasaki  <\/li>\n<li>Open drawing studio with Norm Graffam&#8212;draw or have your portrait drawn<\/li>\n<li>Poetry with Janine Oshiro<\/li>\n<li>Woodcarving with Jordan Souza<\/li>\n<li>Hawaiian fiber art with Lufi Luteru<\/li>\n<li>Clay sculpture with Bryce Meyers<\/li>\n<li>Stage combat with Nick Logue<\/li>\n<li>Mask making with Yukie Shiroma<\/li>\n<li>Screen printing with Rob Molyneux&#8212;bring your own shirt to be printed or buy one<\/li>\n<li>Styrofoam printing with Christina Weisner<\/li>\n<li>Printmaking with the Honolulu Printmakers<\/li>\n<li>Acting with Taurie Kinoshita<\/li>\n<li>Screenwriting and fiction writing workshops with Chris McKinney and Desiree Poteet<\/li>\n<li>Kanikapila with <span aria-label=\"Kaala\">Ka&#699;ala<\/span> Carmack and Kamuela Kimokeo&#8212;bring your instrument or voice<\/li>\n<li>Raku firing demonstrations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Palik&#363; Theatre<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/windward.hawaii.edu\/Paliku\/\">theatre<\/a> will feature free performances of music and drama throughout the day.<\/p>\n<h3>H&#333;k&#363;lani Imaginarium<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/aerospace.wcc.hawaii.edu\/imaginarium.html\">Imaginarium<\/a> will be showing <em>Secrets of the Dragon<\/em>, a family-friendly fulldome show for a nominal fee of $3.
