University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa Wahine volleyball<\/a> earned top Big West Conference honors—Brooke Van Sickle<\/strong> was named the Big West Conference Player of the Year and Robyn Ah Mow<\/strong> earned Coach of the Year. The awards were voted on by the league coaches.<\/p>\n

Three other Rainbow Wahine were recognized—Amber Igiede<\/strong>, Kate Lang<\/strong> and Skyler Williams<\/strong> each earned a spot on the all-conference first team. Lang was also named to the all-freshman team.<\/p>\n

For guiding the Rainbow Wahine to back-to-back conference titles, Ah Mow earned Coach of the Year honors for the second time. In 2019 she was named Co-Coach of the Year while winning the Big West for the first time as a head coach. Ah Mow helped UH<\/abbr> navigate through last year\u2019s canceled season to come back strong in 2021 with a 18-2 conference mark.<\/p>\n

Van Sickle proved to be the driving force in that run for a conference title. The senior captain has led Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> all season in numerous statistical categories—including kills, kill\/set, service aces and points. Van Sickle finished among the Big West leaders in points (1st), kills (2nd) and service aces (2nd) per set, while also tallying 11 double-doubles on the season.<\/p>\n

UH<\/abbr>\u2019s dynamic middle blockers Igiede and Williams gained first-team recognition once again after each earned the same honor in 2019.<\/p>\n

Igiede proved to be one of the most versatile players in the Big West, earning defensive and offensive Player of the Week honors in consecutive weeks during UH<\/abbr>\u2019s title run.<\/p>\n

Williams is second on the team and was among the Big West leaders in hitting percentage and blocks.<\/p>\n

Lang earned a spot on both the first team and freshman team after a superb inaugural campaign. She led the conference in assists\/sets and is fourth on the team in digs and blocks.<\/p>\n
