The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa women\u2019s volleyball team<\/a> went 1-1 over Thanksgiving weekend, falling in five sets to the University of California, Santa Barbara on senior night, after capturing the Big West title outright with a four-set win over California State University, Northridge (CSUN<\/abbr>) on November 26. With the win, the Rainbow Wahine punched its ticket into the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA<\/abbr>) tournament.<\/p>\n

Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> overcame a slow start and then rolled past CSUN<\/abbr> to extend its win-streak to 10 and its home conference win streak to 16. The Rainbow Wahine were powered by Amber Igiede\u2019s<\/strong> match-high 16 kills while Brooke Van Sickle<\/strong>, Riley Wagoner<\/strong> and Kate Lang<\/strong> all recorded double-doubles. The team will be heading to Seattle, Wash. for the 2021 NCAA<\/abbr> Tournament\u2019s first and second rounds. The Rainbow Wahine will open play against No. 24 Mississippi State on Friday, December 3 at Washington\u2019s Alaska Airlines Arena. First serve is set for 2:30 p.m. HST<\/abbr>. This marks the team\u2019s 10th Big West title and sixth since rejoining the conference in 2012.
