The UH<\/abbr> Cancer Center<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Cancer Center<\/a> is having an exceptional couple of months when it comes to attracting millions of dollars in federal funding for cancer research. Since August 1 alone, five researchers at the UH<\/abbr> Cancer Center have received a total of more than $16 million in federal funding to conduct public impact research over the next few years. <\/p>\n

“The fact that we are seeing this amount of funding from organizations like the National Cancer Institute and the Department of Defense shows how meaningful this research is\u2014not only to the people of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>, but the entire nation,” said UH<\/abbr> Cancer Center Interim Director Joe W. Ramos<\/strong>. “This year marks the 50th anniversary of the UH<\/abbr> Cancer Center, and these grants are truly a testament to all the innovative work we\u2019ve been doing since 1971 and will continue to do for many years to come.” <\/p>\n
